Today the publication – The Future of Fashion v.1 was released.

Last year brought a real revolution for the fashion industry. On the one hand, it was affected by a pandemic and the related  restrictions, while on the other, the pandemic proved to be a gas pedal of positive changes – digitization, increased consumer awareness, changing sales channels and the transition of the sector towards sustainable development.

The events of the last several months have left a particularly deep mark on the fashion industry. They have redefined the ideas and values of the fashion sector, but at the same time unleashed new opportunities, solutions and directions for the industry.

The recent and eagerly awaited resolution of the Supreme Court concerning the evaluation of the right to live in a clean environment in the light of regulations concerning protection of personal (moral) rights has received wide publicity.

In its resolution of 28 May 2021 (Case No. III CZP 27/20), the Supreme Court held that:

1. the right to live in a clean environment is not a personal (moral) right.
2. health, freedom, privacy are protected as personal rights (Article 23 of the Civil Code in connection with Article 24 of the Civil Code and Article 448 of the Civil Code).

It also raises a number of critical legal issues, including those relating to innovation and creativity, faced by states, regulators and competent authorities. During the webinar, the current legal approach on the issues concerning AI made inventions and AI created works in Europe was presented (and vigorously discussed) as well as practical aspects of the impact of this phenomenon on running a business in various sectors of the European economy.
